Fire Guts Equipment At Tincan Port

An equipment at Terminal C at Tincan Island Port on Thursday went up in flames.

It was gathered that a mobile crane close to the ship at berth also got burnt.

The timely intervention of dockworkers at the terminal saved other equipment from further damage.

According to a source, “The dockworkers who were on duty on Thursday morning spent close to three hours to assist personnel from the fire service to combat the inferno.”

“The foreign crew also contributed to putting off the inferno of the mobile crane.”

It was confirmed that no life was lost to the inferno but there were indications that some properties were destroyed.
