Fire Razes 22 Shops In Kano Market

Properties worth millions of naira have been ruined in a fire incident that happened at Gwarzo Market in Gwarzo Local Government Area of Kano state.

The inferno which took place on Monday, has thrown the victims into critical condition as many of them were said to have lost millions of naira to the disaster.

The Zonal Information Officer of Gwarzo Local Government, Rabiu Khalil confirmed the incident in a statement issued.

“The fire started at midnight of last Sunday and it took the State Fire Service personnel up to Monday morning before they could finally put it out,” the statement read.

Khalil explained that dozens of shops were completely destroyed by the inferno, and property worth millions of naira were .

He, however, added that there was no injury or loss of life in the incident.
