Goalkeeper, Jason Steele Sign New Brighton Contract

Goalkeeper, Jason Steele has signed a new contract with Premier League side, Brighton until the summer of 2027.

Steele, 33, joined Brighton in 2018 and had to wait more than three years to make his Premier League debut for the club.

However, he dislodged Robert Sanchez as number one midway through last season, helping the Seagulls finish sixth in the top flight.

The former Middlesbrough and Blackburn keeper has made nine appearances in the Premier League and Europa League so far this term.

Technical director David Weir said: “Jason is a key player for us, on and off the pitch. His attitude, leadership and what he brings to this club every day has been a massive part of our progress throughout his time here.

“I am thrilled that his loyalty and patience is now paying off, and that we have extended his stay with us through until at least June 2026.“
