Gov Sanwo Olu Inaugurates Yaba Bus Terminal

Sanwo-Olu said the bus terminal was necessary for the daily transportation of the teeming population in the state, adding that the government was satisfied with the project.

He added that the project was also in the interest of his administration’s drive to consistently provide ultramodern infrastructure to meet the transportation needs of residents.

According to him, Yaba features prominently in the Lagos State Transportation Master Plan because of its peculiar nature as a melting pot of various commercial and academic activities making it a tech hub.

Commissioner for Transportation, Dr Frederic Oladeinde, added: “This project is geared towards the provision of a safe and quality public transport infrastructure that is comfortable and reliable. The bus reform initiative is designed to re-organise bus operation in the public transport sector for efficiency and effectiveness”.
