Governor Uba Sani flags off construction of 3 roads in Southern Kaduna
The Governor of Kaduna State, Uba Sani, has flagged off the construction of three rural roads in Southern area of Kaduna.
The rural roads, comprised of Tachira-Kadarko, Tachira-Mayi Kawon Assu and Makabun-Aya-Lagum roads situated on 17.5 kilometres in Kaura Local Government Area.
The Agwam Takad, Chief Tobias John, expressed gratitude to the government for bringing development to people of the area.
Speaking through his deputy, Dr Hadiza Balarabe, the governor stated that the roads would enhance social and economic activities, and improve the standard of living of the people of the state.
“The significance of constructing and upgrading rural roads cannot be over emphasized. The benefits are enormous to our people as this will boost profitability and productivity and stimulate economic growth”, he said.
While giving his take, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture, Kabiru Mainasidi, noted that the rural roads are among 32 rural roads covering 316km desinated to be constructed across the state under the Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project.
Sani through his deputy encouraged the benefiting communities to support the contractors on their job.
