“I Joined Man City to Win Trophies” – Jack Grealish Says

New Manchester City signing, Jack Grealish, has said he joined the club because of the chance to win trophies.

The 25-year-old joined City on a six-year deal having spent eight seasons with Aston Villa during which he scored 32 goals, made 43 assists and 213 appearances.

Speaking at a press conference on Monday, Grealish said the £100m moves was something he could not turn down.

“It’s one of the toughest decisions I’ve ever had to make, but it was something I couldn’t turn down,” he was quoted by the club’s Twitter handle.

“The chance to win trophies, to play with Kevin De Bruyne and to play for the best manager in the World was a massive factor as well.”

The England international has been handed the Number 10 shirt previously worn by club legend Sergio Aguero.

“Getting the 10 shirt was a brilliant feeling.

The Peoples Democratic Party on Monday kicked off the pilot scheme of its electronic registration and revalidation of members.

The first scheme of the registration will be in Anambra, Osun, Ekiti, Edo, Adamawa, and Sokoto States, among others.

The National Chairman of the party, Mr Uche Secondus, speaking at the opening ceremony in Abuja, said the e-registration would deepen the process of internal democracy in the party.

He said there was a need for parties to embrace the online registration of members.

“The country must migrate from analogue to digital because data is key to development, proper planning and a country’s ability to attract development from the global community.

“As a party, we cannot do otherwise; we are operating in social media space and cannot do without data,” he said.

Secondus added that online registration would provide Nigerians with a transparent platform to exercise democratic potentials, especially the youths.
