I turned down a $5 million deal to perform in Dubai because of smoking - Burna Boy reveals

Afrobeat super star, Damini Ogulu whose stage name is Burna Boy has revealed how he turned down a musical deal of $5 million.

The Grammy winning artist noted that he was offered a $5 million deal to perform in Dubai but the offer came with a condition that doesn’t allow him to smoke.

According to Burna Boy, he turned down the $5 million deal because he is not permitted to smoke while performing on stage.

Burna Boy obviously turned down a deal of $5 million which other artists in the entertainment industry would clinge to, just because he isn’t permitted to smoke weed.

He added that the United Arab Emirates prohibits smoking in parks, beaches, and all public places across Dubai.

He thus rejected the offer because he can’t go to any place where he is not allowed to smoke weed.

His words,

“Just now I turned down Dubai money, 5 million dollars na small thing cos me I no dey like to dey go where Dem no go gree allow me to smoke Igbo”.
