Israel Urges South Lebanon Residents To Away Amid Ongoing Hezbollah Clashes

The Israeli military on Saturday issued a stern warning to residents of southern Lebanon, urging them not to return to their homes due to ongoing fighting with Hezbollah militants. Israeli forces continue to target Hezbollah positions in the area, with military spokesman Avichay Adraee cautioning that anyone returning could be putting their life in danger.

Adraee stated on social media platform X, formerly Twitter, that Israeli forces are focusing on Hezbollah posts located in or near villages in southern Lebanon. He emphasized that for their own safety, residents should avoid the region until further notice.

In a separate warning, Adraee also addressed health workers and medical teams in southern Lebanon, advising them to avoid using ambulances, which he claimed were being exploited by Hezbollah fighters. He cautioned that any vehicle transporting armed individuals, including ambulances, would be considered a target.

These warnings come as Israel continues to engage in a multi-front conflict, simultaneously battling Palestinian militants in Gaza. Recent Israeli military operations have included intense air and ground assaults in northern Gaza, particularly around Jabalia.

On Saturday, Adraee called for the evacuation of residents near the Sheikh Radwan area, south of the Jabalia refugee camp, designating it a dangerous combat zone. Residents were urged to move to humanitarian zones in the southern part of Gaza as the conflict shows no signs of abating.
