JAMB Begins Accreditation Of CBT Centres For 2025 UTME
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has commenced the accreditation process for Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). This development was disclosed in a statement issued by Dr. Fabian Benjamin, JAMB’s Public Communication Advisor.
The statement outlines the requirements and procedures for both new and established CBT centres to qualify for the 2025 UTME exercise. Operators of centres accredited for the 2024 UTME are required to express their interest for the upcoming examination by registering through the Centre Management System (CMS) Portal. For new centres, JAMB’s zonal and state offices will assist in creating accounts on the CMS Portal to facilitate their registration.
As part of the accreditation process, all centres are mandated to conduct an Autobot/Autotest, with specific dates to be announced. Following successful completion of the test, JAMB’s team will conduct a physical accreditation visit to the centres.
Dr. Benjamin emphasized the importance of meeting the Board’s technical and operational requirements. New CBT centres intending to participate must familiarize themselves with the guidelines outlined on the official JAMB website and submit a formal notification of their intention through the appropriate channels.
The accreditation process is stringent to ensure only capable centres are approved for the UTME. Centres that fail to meet the necessary standards during the Autobot/Autotest will be disqualified and excluded from further evaluation. The physical accreditation for eligible centres is scheduled for December 2024.
Accredited centres will play a pivotal role in facilitating a seamless registration and examination process for candidates nationwide. JAMB remains committed to ensuring the credibility of its CBT system, which has become the cornerstone of its examination process.
