Bimbo Ademoye and Kunle Remi on the latest episode of 'The Buffet'
The tale of Nollywood can’t be told without Funke Akindele’ name being mentioned. In view of this, her junior colleague, Bimbo Ademoye has rated her comic series, ‘Jenifa’s Diary’ as one of Nollywood’s most impactful series.
While on the latest episode of The Buffet YouTube show with actor Kunle Remi, Bimbo described Funke as a legend.
Her words,
“Jenifa started off as a film, and became a spinoff into a series. It is still one of the most iconic, one of the most impactful series to ever hit Nollywood,” she said.
“Funke Akindele is an amazon, an icon, and a legend. She made razz become the new classy”.
It can be said that ‘Jenifa’ brought Funke Akindele to limelight, the series was widely accepted especially because of her faked accent in the series.
Funke Akindele has risen through the ranks over the years and become a veteran in the industry.
Her recently produced movie, ‘A Tribe Called Judah’ which grossed N1.4 billion in box office. She has served her own buffet.
