Kano Governor, Abba Yusuf Commissions Road Project, Urges Contractors To Mobilize To Site
On Friday, Abba Yusuf, the Governor of Kano State Governor, inaugurated the construction of a five-kilometer road in Kunchi town, Ghari Local Government Area.
This was revealed in a statement released by the governor’s spokesperson, Sanusi Tofa, on Saturday.
According to the statement, the governor mentioned that the project was originally initiated during the second term of Rabi’u Kwankwaso to enhance rural communities but was neglected by the previous administration of Governor Abdullahi Ganduje.
He urged the contractor to promptly begin work at the site, warning that failure to do so could result in the termination of the contract.
“I’m calling on the contractor to mobilize to the site in the next week. Failure to do so will compel the state government to revoke the CV contract,” the governor was quoted as saying.
He expressed appreciation to the people of the area for their patience, support, and cooperation and instructed the contractor handling the project to mobilize to the site within one week fully.
Before flagging off the 5-kilometer road project, Yusuf, in the company of his deputy, Aminu Gwarzo, and other members of the State Executive Council, commissioned a township road in Yandadi town.
The governor and his entourage also visited Kano State College of Education and Preliminary Studies, Ghari.
He assured the public of the state government’s readiness to provide all necessary infrastructure to ensure academic activities at the College continue without interruption.
