Kano State Fire Service Reports Over ₦132M Property Loss To Fire In November
The Kano State Fire Service, under the leadership of Hassan Muhammad, has revealed that property worth ₦132,450,000 was lost to fire outbreaks across the state in November 2024. The report also highlights key rescue efforts, loss of lives, and preventive advice as the harmattan season heightens fire risks.

The service responded to emergencies from 29 fire stations across the state. These efforts underscore the critical role of the service in minimizing damage and saving lives during emergencies.
Public Advisory for Fire Safety
The spokesman for the Fire Service, Saminu Abdullahi, urged the public to handle fire with care, especially during the harmattan season, which is known for increasing fire outbreaks.
He added:
“All motorists must drive with care and comply with traffic laws, particularly during the Christmas holiday, to avoid road accidents.”
