Kemi Adetiba Brought Me Out – Sola Sobowale Says
Popular Veteran actress, Sola Sobowale, has said that filmmaker, Kemi Adetiba, ‘brought her out’ in the movie industry.
In an interview with media personality, Chude Jideonwo, Sobowale spoke about her lead role as Eniola Salami in Adetiba’s ‘King of Boys’.
While speaking on her relationship with Adetiba, Sobowale noted that Kemi knows her more than she knows herself.
“There’s something about Kemi Adetiba. Kemi Adetiba will tell you who Sola Sobowale is. I don’t even know myself. Kemi knows me more than I know myself,” Sobowale said.
“Kemi Adetiba brought me out. I will say it anywhere. I don’t mind if it sounds like a broken record. I will echo it. I will sing it. I will shout it. She brought me out.”
Sobowale added that she doesn’t watch herself in movies but she had to watch King of Boys.
In 2018, Adetiba’s King of Boys shot the actress to stardom as a result of her alpha female role and the strong personality she displayed in the movie.
