Lagos Slaughters 3,000 Cows Everyday – Obafemi Hamzat
Lagos State Government through Deputy Governor, Obafemi Hamzat has announced that a total of 3,000 cows are slaughtered daily in the state to cater to the residents’ needs.
Hamzat disclosed this in a television interview on Tuesday.
“We are building a logistic hub in Imota, the biggest in this part of the world. What that does for us is that it allows us to track what comes to Lagos,” he said.
“So Lagos interestingly will slaughter cows like 3,000 every day. So where are they coming from? How can we track it? Today, if anything happens, our veterinary doctors slaughter them and burn them up. But we need to do better.”
He also revealed the state government’s plans to stock grains for Lagos citizens at least for nine months.
