Governor Sanwo-Olu Rewards LASU’s Best Graduating Student With N10million
Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has awarded the overall best student of the Lagos State University (LASU) Aminat Yusuf with a whopping sum of N10 million.
The governor made this known at the university’s 26th Convocation and 40th Anniversary in Lagos on Thursday.
Yusuf graduated with a Cumulative Grade Point Average of 5.0 from the varsity’s Faculty of Law.
“As a token of her brilliance, I will be giving her a token donation of N5 million and the state government will give her an additional donation of N5 million,” Sanwo-Olu disclosed this while announcing the reward at the convocation ceremony in Ojo on Thursday.
He congratulated the university on its 40th anniversary and 26th convocation while recounting its achievements among other universities.
While appreciating the governor, Yusuf said she was faced with financial constraints during her study, but was determined and strove towards academic excellence.
