Leicester City Sign Mads Hermanse From Brondby

Leicester City has completed the signing of Mads Hermanse from Brondby.

The 23-year-old, who has recently been called into the Denmark senior squad has signed a five-year deal after Leicester agreed to pay the Superliga club € 7 million (£6m, $7.88m).

He becomes Leicester’s fourth signing of the summer following the arrival of Connor Coady, Harry Winks, and Callum Doyle.

He hopes to follow in the footsteps of Leicester legend Kasper Schmeichel, who he currently deputizes with the Denmark national team, and joins Danny Ward, Daniel Iversen, and Alex Smithies in the keeper department.

New boss Enzo Maresca at the weekend said that he wanted to bring in Hermansen, who has also been linked with Bournemouth, Fulham, Everton, and Burnley – and he ticks the box for how Maresca wants his side to play.

Hermansen helped Brondby finish sixth in the Danish Superliga last season, having won the title in 2021 and been named Player of the Year in 2022.
