LG boss, Wale Adedayo who accused Abiodun of fund diversion lands in DSS custody

The Department of State Service, (DSS) has invited the suspended Chairman of Ijebu East Local Government Area of Ogun state, Wale Adedayo for questioning.

Mr Wale was invited by the DSS over allegations of council fund diversion he levied against Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State.

Mr Adedayo has subsequently been suspended as the Chairman of Ijebu East Local Government Area of the state and detained by the DSS for accusing Governor Dapo Abiodun of diversing council allocations.

According to Adedayo, the Governor allegedly withheld funds meant for local council administration in the last two years.

In lieu of this, Adedayo was invited to DSS office on Thursday for questioning and permitted to take his leave. He was however detained on Friday following his visit.

This was confirmed in a statement by an aide to Adedayo while speaking with Daily Trust.

“We got here together and I took his phone and stood outside, since then he has not been allowed to come out.

“After he got into the place, the governor also came into the DSS office and left after over 30 minutes. Only God knows what is happening to my boss right now, please help us. This is 8:34 pm and he has still not been allowed to come out”.
