Liverpool Sign Alexis Mac Allister From Brighton & Hove Albion
Premier League side, Liverpool have completed the signing of Alexis Mac Alister From Brighton and Hove Albion. The midfielder has signed a contract with the Reds that will run through June 2028.
“I wanted to be in [from] the first day of pre-season, so it’s good that everything is done. I’m looking forward to meeting my teammates.
“It was a fantastic year for me – World Cup, what we achieved with Brighton – but now it’s time to think about Liverpool and try to be a better player and a better human being every day.”
Mac Allister’s move to Anfield comes after three-and-a-half successful seasons at Brighton following a January 2019 switch from Argentinos Juniors, where he immediately returned on loan for six months until a further temporary stint with Boca Juniors.
His Premier League debut came in March 2020 and he went on to make a total of 112 appearances for the south-coast club, 98 of which came in the Premier League. Indeed, he faced Liverpool as an opponent on six occasions.
In addition, Mac Allister scored a total of 20 goals for Brighton and claimed nine assists.
