Naira Steps Up At Investors and Exporters Window
The Nigerian currency, naira (#) has stepped up at the investors and exporters window. This is so as it sold for N720 to a dollar within a day’s trading.
As at Friday 1st September 2023, the naira appreciated against the dollar with an exchange of N740.83 as against $1 at the Investors and Exporters window.
This is goodnews for the Nigerian capital market as naira profited by 2.93% over N762.71 to $1 for which it exchanged on Thursday 31st August.
The naira to dollar closed at an open indicative rate of ₦775.17 to $1 on Friday. An exchange rate of ₦799.90 to $1 was the highest rate of exchange recorded within the day’s trading before it reduced to ₦740.38.
In addition the investors and exporters window traded a total of $85.79 million.
