New Edo Commissioner Of Police Assumes Duty
The New Commissioner of Police in Edo State, Umoru Ozigi has assumed duty.
A statement by the Edo State Police Command issued through its Police Public Relations Officer, Joel Yamu, said the new CP who hails from Adavi LGA of Kogi State, is a graduate of Business Administration from Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria.
He enlisted in the Nigeria Police Force in 1992 as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police and trained at the prestigious Nigeria Police Academy in Wudil, Kano.
He is said to have served the Force in various capacities within the last 30 years and was the Commissioner of Police, Force Provost Marshal, and Force Headquarters, in Abuja.
The command said the new CP is mindful of the people of Edo State’s yearnings for security and safety and is soliciting the public’s cooperation to subdue all forms of crime and criminality in the state.
