Ndidi, Osimhen Joins Eagles camp Ahead Of AFCON Qualifier

23 players have arrived at the team’s Eko Hotels and Suites ahead of the Afcon qualifiers against the Squirrels and the Crocodiles

Villarreal’s Samuel Chukwueze, Napoli’s Victor Osimhen and Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi have arrived for Nigeria’s 2022 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

The three-time African champions will take on the Republic of Benin at Porto-Novo’s Stade Charles de Gaulle on Saturday before facing Lesotho three days later in Lagos.

It had been reported earlier the arrival of Ahmed Musa, William Troost-Ekong, Ola Aina, Semi Ajayi, Ogenekaro Etebo, and Henry Onyekuru.

Kelechi Iheanacho, who is currently on form for Leicester City, is the only player yet to arrive as he is expected to join the team soon.

The three-time African champions will face Benin Republic at Stade Charles de Gaulle in Porto Novo on Saturday before playing Lesotho at the Teslim Balogun Stadium on Tuesday.

Ahead of the games, the Super Eagles opened camp in Lagos, and the light training in the gym started on Monday morning, with full training to commence on Tuesday evening.
