Nigerian Lawmaker Ossy Prestige Is Dead

A member of the House of Representatives from Abia State, Ossy Prestige, is dead.

The late lawmaker, Aba North/South Federal Constituency of Abia State, died after a protracted illness.

The late Mr Prestige is the third member of the House that has passed on in the ninth assembly.

He was elected on the platform of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA).

House spokesperson, Benjamin Kalu confirmed the death via a text message.

Another source, who is part of the House leadership, also confirmed that the deceased passed on.

He was also confirmed dead by his family member.

The demise of the lawmaker is expected to be announced on the floor of the Green Chamber on Tuesday.
