NYSC Warns Corps Members Against Late Night Traveling
The Director, National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), North West Area Office, Mr Kehinde Aremu-Cole, has pleaded with corps members to shun night journeys.
He said this on Friday during his visit to the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Yikpata in the Edu Local Government Area of Kwara State.
While addressing the 2023 Batch ‘C’ Stream 2 corps members undergoing orientation course in the camp, the director said “Losing one child to the cold hand of an automobile accident while on national service due to an unnecessary night journey is the most disheartening experience parents could ever imagine.”
He therefore urged them to resist any form of temptation or pressure that could warrant them embarking on a night journey.
The NYSC boss also encouraged the corps members to accept their posting in good faith, explaining that the purpose of the service to their fatherland is to impact their various host communities in the best way.
