Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, Appoints Oluwatoyin Taiwo As Chief Of Staff
Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State has announced the appointment of Oluwatoyin Taiwo as his Chief of Staff. Before this elevation, Taiwo served as the Deputy Chief of Staff to the governor.
The appointment was disclosed in a statement signed by the governor’s Special Adviser on Media and Strategy, Kayode Akinmade, and shared with journalists on Thursday. According to the statement, the governor handed over the official letter of appointment to Taiwo on Wednesday, with the role taking effect from December 18, 2024.
Congratulating Taiwo, Governor Abiodun described the appointment as a recognition of his dedication and competence, stating that it was “well-deserved.”
Taiwo has been a key figure in Abiodun’s administration, having served as the Commissioner for Culture and Tourism during the governor’s first term. His commitment and service led to his elevation as Deputy Chief of Staff, and now as Chief of Staff.
An accomplished academic, Taiwo is an alumnus of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Statistics. He further advanced his education, obtaining additional qualifications, including a Ph.D.
The appointment of Oluwatoyin Taiwo reflects Governor Abiodun’s continued focus on leveraging experienced and capable individuals to drive his administration’s objectives.
