Omokri, Others Hold ‘#HarassBuhariOutOfLondon’ Protest Outside Nigerian High Commission in London

Activists gathered outside the Nigerian High Commission in the UK, known as Abuja House, on 2 April, to protest against Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari.

The activists, who believed the 78-year-old politician was inside the building in west London, were demanding that he stop wasting money on foreign trips.

Buhari is in London, having made several medical visits to the British capital since he came to power in 2015. The footage shows people gathering outside Abuja House, singing the Nigerian national anthem and shouting slogans, in a protest led by Nigerian politician Reno Omokri.

It was gathered that during the cause of the protest, President Buhari called the police on Reno Omokri and other protesters. Though they were let go after routine questioning.

‘I  was questioned and let go after the police established that we had broken no laws and we were observing proper #COVID19 protocols. This government’s attempt to stop failed big time!’ Activist Reno stated in his tweet.
