One Dead In Ondo Market Clash

The Hausa and Fulani residents in Ayede-Ogbese, a popular market town in Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State have fought one another in a bloody clash.

The clash which started on Tuesday evening escalated by Wednesday morning. Though the incident has yet to be confirmed, a source in the community said one person died while several others sustained injuries.

Also, several shops were said to have been completely burnt during the clash.

The cause of the clash is yet to be known, however, a source within the community revealed that the clash was between the Fulani settlers and the Hausa community.
