One Dies, Five Sustain Injuries In Lagos-Ibadan Expressway Crash

One person was reported dead, while five others sustained injuries in a lone accident that happened along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on Tuesday.

The Ogun State Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps spokesperson, Florence Okpe, confirmed the incident in an interview on Tuesday.

According to Okpe, a total of 23 persons were involved in the accident that occurred around the Fidiwo axis of the expressway.

She said, “23 persons involved, all male, five injured and one person killed.

“It was a lone crash involving a truck.”

Okpe, while blaming the cause of the accident on tyre bust and speeding, urged motorists to exercise caution when driving on the expressway.

“The cause of the crash was tyre bust and speeding.
