Ooni of Ife finally sets eyes on his son.
The entire people in the palace of the Ooni of Ife and well-wishers all over the world celebrated with the Ooni of Ife after his Queen, Olori Silekunola Naomi was delivered of a baby boy.
The prince was born on the 18th of November and has been named after the predecessor of the King as Aderemi Tadenikowo Adesoji.
However, despite the fact that the child has been named, the monarch was not to set his eyes on the little child as it is against the tradition.
The tradition forbids the king from seeing a new-born until some rites are performed and the natural hair of the baby is scraped off.
The little heir however, has finally been taken to the palace and received by the king after all the necessary rites has been performed.
In a statement posted on Instagram, the King said; ”Today, I welcome our prince as Tadenikowo Adesoji Aderemi Eri-Ifeoluwasimi and the mother to the palace of Ile Oodua. The Almighty will exalt him and divinely make him the best”.
