Oyebanji Celebrates First Lady Oluremi Tinubu On Her 64th Birthday
Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to the First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, on her 64th birthday. In a statement released on Saturday by his Special Adviser on Media, Yinka Oyebode, Oyebanji praised Senator Tinubu as a “special gift to the nation” and a strong pillar of support for her husband, President Bola Tinubu, in his mission to transform Nigeria into a prosperous nation.
The governor highlighted Senator Tinubu’s notable contributions to nation-building throughout her public service career, including her time as the First Lady of Lagos State, a three-term Senator, and now as the First Lady of Nigeria. He acknowledged her impactful work through the New Era Foundation in Lagos State, which empowered students, youths, and women, providing them with opportunities to contribute to societal development.
Oyebanji also commended her achievements in the Senate from 2011 to 2023, particularly her advocacy for women’s empowerment, social development, and improving the lives of physically challenged and vulnerable groups. He praised her ongoing efforts through the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI), which provides scholarships, economic empowerment, financial support for women in agriculture, and care for the elderly. The governor noted that many citizens of Ekiti State have benefitted from these initiatives, which complement his administration’s Shared Prosperity agenda.
“On behalf of my wife, Olayemi, the government, and the people of Ekiti State, we wish the Mother of the Nation a happy birthday and pray that the Lord will continue to bless her with good health and wisdom to serve God and humanity,” Oyebanji said.
