Ramadan: Kano Hisbah Deploys Personnel To Mosques
Kano State Hisbah Board has deployed its personnel to several mosques across the 44 local government areas of the state.
The board said the move was to ensure safety of lives and property during the Ramadan period.
The board’s Commander General, Sheikh Harun Ibn Sina, said this while speaking with newsmen, on Thursday.
According to him, all the corps posted would visit mosques during iftar, tarawih, and tahajjud prayers to protect worshippers and their properties against criminal elements.
He further said that the board would intensify efforts to arrest those found engaging in social vices, as well as, evacuate those found guilty of disturbing the prevailing peaceful atmosphere in the state.
The Sheikh added that hisbah personnel would apprehend anyone found guilty of violating the teachings of Islam during Ramadan, especially ticktockers who are fond of using derogatory comments.
The commander thus urged the public, especially well-to-do individuals, to assist orphans and the needy in the society.
He said: “Feeding during the holy month is rewarding as Allah (SWT) opens the doors of paradise, as such, there was the need to multiply good deeds, to gain Allah’s favour.
“One can give clothes, food items, grains, water and cash to those in need to gain Allah’s rewards,” he explained.
