Riyad Mahrez Signs New Manchester City Contract
Algeria winger, Riyad Mahrez has signed a new three year contract extension with Manchester City.
Mahrez had one year remaining on his previous deal before inking the new contract.
Explaining his decision to extend his contract, Mahrez said he was very happy to be at an ‘incredible club‘, and also disclosed that even though he has enjoyed eight trophies during his four years at the club he is ‘hungry to achieve more‘ under his manager Pep Guardiola.
Mahrez has played 189 times for City since joining from Leicester City in 2018, scoring a total of 89 goals.
Mahrez’s contract extension comes amid a strong summer for City, who have already added Erling Haaland, Kalvin Phillips, Julian Alvarez and Stefan Ortega to their squad.
City, meanwhile, are in talks with Arsenal over the potential sale of Oleksandr Zinchenko.
