Tottenham’s Emerson Royal Ruled Out For Six Weeks After Sustaining Knee Injury

Tottenham’s defender, Emerson Royal has been ruled out for six weeks after sustaining a knee injury and will have to undergo surgery.

The 24-year-old has made 22 Premier League appearances this season and was a favorite under Antoni Conte prior to his departure. But is now expected to play almost no part in the club’s end-of-season run-in.

Surgery on his meniscus will take place in London after he returned to England following international duty with Brazil.

Emerson has scored two goals in 32 appearances in all competitions for Spurs this season.

He joined the north London club from Barcelona in August 2021.

Tottenham are fourth in the Premier League but are searching for a new manager after parting ways with Antonio Conte on Sunday.
