Tottenham’s Timo Werner, Ben Davies Out For The Rest Of The Season With Injuries
After picking up injuries, Tottenham’s duo Timo Werner and Ben Davies have been ruled out for the rest of the season.
Both players sustained muscular injuries during Sunday’s Premier League loss at home to Arsenal and are now likely to sit out the rest of the campaign.
Werner, 28, suffered a hamstring injury and was replaced by Brennan Johnson in the 31st minute while 31-year-old defender Davies was replaced with a calf injury in the 87th minute.
“Timo is out for the season with a hamstring injury,” Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou said on Wednesday.
“Ben has picked up a calf injury which will probably rule him out for the rest of the games too.”
Postecoglou added that Tottenham had no other fresh injury setbacks and added that midfielder Oliver Skipp, who has not played since the 2-2 draw at Everton on February 3, is available for selection.
Tottenham travels to London rivals Chelsea on Thursday night before finishing their league campaign with matches against Liverpool, Burnley, Manchester City, and Sheffield United.
