Tunisia Sacks Coach Kebaier After AFCON Exit

Tunisia head coach Mondher Kebaier was sacked on Sunday, a day after his side’s Africa Cup of Nations quarter-final exit to Burkina Faso.

According to the Tunisia Football Federation, Kebaier, 51 years, who had been in the position since August 2019, will be replaced by his 50-year-old deputy coach Jalel Kadri.

Tunisia, who were the 2004 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) champions, lost 1-0 to 10-man Burkina Faso in the quarter-finals on Saturday in Cameroon.
