Two Sustain Injuries In Agbara-Badagry Expressway Auto Crash

Two unidentified persons sustained injuries in a car crash that happened on the Agbara-Badagry Expressway in Lagos State.

It was gathered that the incident occurred at about 12.56 pm on Monday.

It was also learnt that the accident involved a Howo truck with registration number KZR73ZT and a Mazda car with registration number KTU900BK.

The FRSC Lagos Sector Commander, Babatunde Farinloye, confirmed the incident in an interview.

He stated that speeding and reckless overtaking caused the accident, adding that agency officials arrived immediately to help the victims.

Farinloye noted that the victims are currently receiving treatment at the Badagry Hospital while urging motorists to avoid wrongful overtaking on the expressway.

He said, “The incident occurred in a Mazda car. Nobody died; a male and a female were involved, and the accident occurred as a result of reckless speeding and overtaking. The government has assisted us with good roads on the Mile 2 Expressway, but that does not mean people should use the road without caution”.
