Victor Osimhen Ruled Out Of Super Eagles Friendlies Against Ghana, Mali
Victor Osimhen has been ruled out of the Super Eagles’ forthcoming friendly matches against Ghana and Mali.
In a post on the Eagles’ official X account, the team made it known that the 25-year-old will be out of the encounters after suffering an injury.
Osimhen, who remained on the bench as an unused substitute during Napoli’s recent 1-1 draw against Inter Milan in the Serie A fixture on Sunday, has reportedly encountered complications related to a previous injury scar.
Other players ruled out of the friendly games with injury include Taiwo Awoniyi, Tyrone Ebuehi, and Gabriel Osho, the new invitee from Luton Town.
No replacements have been announced for the injured players as the Eagles resume camp for the friendly ties billed for later this month.
The Eagles will play against Ghana in the first international exhibition game on March 22 at the Grand Stade de Marrakech in Morocco.
The team will then meet Mali on March 26 at the same venue.
